VGH Interventional Radiology

What Is Needed

Renovating occupied hospital space in five sequential phases means every phase has to be planned and handed over without disrupting active clinical operations nearby. Working within VGH’s existing infrastructure — including cast iron drainage, domestic water distribution, and copper Type K medical gas lines — requires careful tie-in work and coordination with the facilities team at every step.

What We're Doing

We are working through each phase in sequence, coordinating daily with CDC Construction and VGH’s facilities and operations teams to manage disruption and maintain safe conditions throughout. Systems include cast iron drainage and venting, copper sweat domestic water distribution, and copper Type K brazed medical gas distribution. The first phase is nearing completion, with the project running from October 2025 through February 2027.
