Alma Blackwell Affordable Housing
Overview
Alma Blackwell is a 97-unit, 7-storey affordable housing project in Vancouver. We carried the full mechanical scope, including plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, controls, and fire protection.
The Challenge
Delivering a full mechanical package on a 7-storey wood frame building in an urban Vancouver site means working within a constrained footprint, coordinating tightly with other trades, and keeping the install sequence on track to protect the overall schedule.
The Resolution
We installed ERV units building-wide for ventilation and PTAC units in each suite for heating and cooling — a reliable, low-maintenance system well-suited to multi-family occupancy. Our scope covered all plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, controls, and fire protection. Construction is underway with completion scheduled for March 2027.
